Legal notice
Parcel & Root helps gardeners order seeds, bulbs and plants by mail. Here is who stands behind it and on what terms.
Publisher
Parcel & Root, an independent almanac produced by its own editorial team.
Hosting provider
Parcel & Root runs on the infrastructure of Cloudflare, Inc., 101 Townsend Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA.
Independence
Parcel & Root does not sell plants or seeds, keeps no list of approved suppliers and accepts nothing from nurseries, seed companies or catalogs for mentioning them. It does not speak for any trade association, including the one that once used this domain (see About this domain).
How far the guides go
Explanations of USDA import permits, state quarantines, seed labelling or mail-order consumer protections are summaries of the official texts linked in each guide; rules are amended, and the agency's current version prevails. They are not legal advice. Growing advice depends on your hardiness zone, soil and season, so treat it as a starting point and ask your local extension office when in doubt.
Rights
The guides are original. Photos and illustrations, including century-old seed catalog covers, are CC0 or public domain and are credited on the photo credits page. Company and variety trade names belong to their owners.
Privacy
You can read every page without cookies, analytics or advertising trackers; fonts are self-hosted. As the host, Cloudflare keeps routine technical logs, including IP addresses, for security.
