DHL OFFERING DISCOUNTED RATES TO ALL MGA
MEMBERS!!!
January 2005. The Mailorder Gardening Association is pleased
to announce that DHL Worldwide Express is now offering discounted
rates to all MGA members for Next Morning, Next Afternoon, Second
Day Service and DHL@home.
Members that ship 200 or more packages daily, will receive the
discounted rates offered for "500 packages daily" for
DHL@home! All other MGA members, regardless of daily shipping volume,
will receive some discount for DHL's other shipping services.
DHL 2005 Rates
DHL and DHL merged in August 2003. This is a significant change
in the landscape of the transportation industry. DHL@home is a
very unique offering in the marketplace. Nobody else in the industry
has their own planes and no other "consolidator" is 100%
DDU entry of product, which is very important to those MGA members
shipping perishable gardening product.
DHL@home standard has all of the features of Priority Mail but
has many important benefits like trackability from the time of
pick up all the way to delivery confirmation, without compromising
any transit time. DHL@home is less expensive than Priority Mail
at all weights and zones.
MGA members are under no obligation whatsoever to use DHL. Knowing
the challenges that MGA members face regarding shipping costs and
efficiency, MGA has been trying for a long time to have a company
like DHL extend group rates to MGA members. Thanks to the efforts
of Brent Thomas with Park Seed Company in South Carolina, we have
opened the door to other possibilities.
Charts detailing the costs by zone for DHL@ home, Next day, etc.
are all on the "business-to-business" side of the MGA
website. These charts compare DHL's prices to that of USPS and
UPS.
Many MGA members actually qualify for a larger discount that what
is indicated. ALL MGA MEMBERS WILL NEED TO CONTACT THE DHL REPRESENTATIVE
BELOW IN ORDER TO BEGIN RECEIVING THESE DISCOUNTS EVEN IF YOU ALREADY
HAVE AN ACCOUNT ESTABLISHED WITH DHL!
